Keyano Huskies struggled offensively, shooting just 32.3% from the field, as Dynamiques de Brebeuf's balanced attack and strong defense led to a convincing win at Vanier College.
The Dynamiques de Brebeuf set the tone early with a dominant first quarter, outscoring the Huskies 26-16. Led by Edouard Gauthier (19 points, 9 rebounds) and Isaac Pierre-Louis (15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists), Brebeuf never let up, widening the gap at halftime to 46-25. The Huskies struggled to find their rhythm, making just 6 of 30 three-point attempts and committing 17 turnovers, which Brebeuf capitalized on with fast breaks and efficient shooting.
The second half saw more of the same, as Brebeuf continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor. Samuel Desrochiers provided a spark off the bench with 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Giorgio Azzi orchestrated the offense with 9 assists. On the defensive end, they dominated the boards, out-rebounding Keyano 45 to 29, and limiting their second-chance opportunities.
Despite the loss, Keyano’s Omeechi Williams led his team with 14 points, while Keenen Caribou contributed 12. Their effort, however, wasn’t enough against the superior efficiency and teamwork of Brebeuf.
